- GOMBAZA fabric similar to cheap cotton flannelette, made in Italy for the Turkish market. Qualities vary, one cloth is made 42 ends and 40 picks per inch, 14's T., 8's W. It is chiefly used for making the long loose robe worn by both moslems and Christians in Palestine and other countries. The robe itself is also known by this name.
